Summer In The City
So Much to See and Do
By Katherine McGiffin
A friend of mine once said, “Anyone who says there’s nothing to do in San Antonio needs to get a life.” And once again, I realize how lucky I am to live in San Antonio.
Most of us have a reverse problem. There’s so much to do in San Antonio that it can be overwhelming. So, to help you sort through the possibilities and get on track to finding which activities appeal to you, here’s some ideas– by venue -- to get you started:
AT&T Center
If you’re a basketball fan and going through withdrawal since the Spurs are in off-season, check out the San Antonio Silver Stars, our WNBA team. Not only is this just plain great basketball, it’s also the perfect opportunity to show daughters that the world is wide open to them. Games are scheduled throughout July and until the 12th of August.
Whether or not you’re a country music fan, the Tim McGraw & Faith Hill – Soul To Soul Tour is one hot ticket. Country music’s hottest couple guarantees a great show for any music fan. Sunday, July 23rd at 7:30pm.

Great concerts are not just for the young. (Young is only a state of mind anyway!) Thanks to Verizon Ampitheater and ageless music fans, the month of July offers an outstanding line-up of great performances every weekend, starting with The Black Crows on Saturday, July 1, at 6:30pm.
The following weekend starts with a classic rock double-header featuring southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd and 3 Doors Down on Friday, July 7, followed by Poison on Saturday, July 8, at 7pm.

Municipal Auditorium
